Nikolas 2105 Gold Tint Lacquer is an air drying, solvent based coating designed for all non-ferrous metals such as brass, silver, copper, and bronze. The aerosol spray makes this an excellent product for 'spot lacquering', offering protection from oxidation, perspiration, and abrasion. Dries to a hard transparent film. Note that this product provides a transparent coating, which will fully reveal the surface finish of the base metal. It is a tint only (not a paint) and will not cover blemishes, scratches, etc. It is designed primarily for use by manufacturers and refinishers in the music industry so as to tone down the bright, shiny appearance of polished brass instruments to provide a darker, softer hue.
